357 people have already made this choice. They are market traders, teachers, students, nurses, retirees, and office workers. What they share is one thing: the belief that no woman should die simply because she didn’t know.
When you volunteer with Help The Woman Campaign, you don’t just support a cause. You become the cause. You are the message that reaches a woman before it’s too late.
Our most impactful volunteer role. As a Community Health Ambassador, you are trained to educate women in your own community — through conversations, home visits, market interactions, and community events. You become the trusted local voice for women’s health.
Support our market activations, awareness walks, and screening events. Roles include registration, materials distribution, logistics, and crowd engagement. No prior training required — we brief you on the day.
Share our content, amplify our message, and help us reach women beyond our physical footprint. Our digital advocates have helped us reach 30,000+ people online. You can do this from anywhere in the world.
Are you a doctor, nurse, counsellor, photographer, videographer, graphic designer, social media manager, or translator? We have specific roles for professional volunteers. Your skills can make a direct, measurable difference.

New volunteers attend a half-day orientation session — in person in Uyo or online via video call. You’ll learn about our mission, the health issues we’re addressing, and your role in solving them. We cover the facts about cervical cancer, HPV, and prevention in plain, accessible language.
Community Health Ambassadors receive a full training program covering health education techniques, community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and how to refer women to screening services. All training is free. Materials are provided in English and local dialects.
You’re assigned to your area and connected with your local volunteer coordinator. You start making impact immediately — through conversations, events, and outreach in the communities you already know.
High-performing volunteers are invited to become Team Leaders, training and mentoring new volunteers. Several of our most senior staff members started as community volunteers.
“Becoming a volunteer with Help The Woman Campaign has been life-changing. I’ve seen first-hand how simple conversations can empower women to protect their health and future. One woman I spoke to at the market went for a screening. They found something early. She’s fine now. That’s why I do this.”
“Training with HTWC gave me skills I use every day. I can now talk to women about cervical cancer in Ibibio in a way that doesn’t scare them — that opens them up. The materials in local language made a huge difference. People listen when you speak their language.”
“I came to one of their market outreaches as a passerby. I stayed for an hour. Three months later I was a volunteer. I never thought I’d be in this space — I’m a tailor. But I’ve realised everyone has something to give.”
No. The majority of our volunteers have no healthcare training. We provide everything you need. What matters most is that you care about your community and can communicate clearly.
It’s flexible. Some volunteers dedicate a few hours per month; others are involved weekly. We work around your schedule. Even one conversation that leads to a screening is meaningful.
